Dr. Ryan Sasaki earned his B.A. in Psychology from the Boston University College of Arts & Sciences in 1999. Before pursuing dentistry, he worked as a case manager for a nonprofit social services agency, helping rehabilitate individuals with mental disabilities and substance use disorders. He also served as a research assistant at Butler Hospital in Providence, Rhode Island, where he contributed to studies examining the effects of family interventions on patients living with depression.
Dr. Sasaki went on to earn his Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) degree from the Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston. Since joining The Dental Spa in 2011, he has been dedicated to providing personalized, compassionate care and helping patients achieve healthier smiles that support their overall well-being. He is proud to be part of a practice committed to exceptional patient care in a comfortable, welcoming environment.
Outside the office, Dr. Sasaki enjoys playing tennis, hiking, and spending time with his wife, Lara, their sons, Dresden and Levin, and their dog, Emmett.
The Dental Spa was founded by Dr. Gary Sasaki, whose commitment to exceptional clinical care, compassion, and lasting relationships helped establish the practice’s reputation over more than 50 years. Since joining the practice in 2011, Dr. Ryan Sasaki has worked alongside his father, sharing those same values while helping patients achieve healthier smiles and improved overall well-being.
Following Dr. Gary’s retirement in September 2025, Dr. Ryan proudly continued the tradition of personalized, patient-centered care that has defined The Dental Spa for generations. Through ongoing continuing education, including participation in the renowned Spear Study Group, he remains committed to providing the highest standard of care while building on the strong foundation his father created.
Today, Dr. Gary enjoys retirement, spending time golfing, exercising, and serving as a docent at the REVS Institute. Although he is no longer seeing patients, his influence continues to be reflected in the culture, philosophy, and commitment to compassionate care that define The Dental Spa today.
